Why book with an agent?

 

Handing over the time-consuming travel planning to someone else! It's faster and easier to brief an expert than juggle endless tabs and options yourself. You get a personal service tailored to your needs, not a generic list of bookings. And of course, you're supporting a small business...

 

We bring destination expertise* and can generate some fresh ideas. In other instances, we can also work to very specific briefs - sometimes you know exactly what you want; we just make it happen.

 

* While I operate individually, I draw on the experience of a large, supportive network of agents. I have travelled extensively, but of course not everywhere - so I combine my own knowledge with that of trusted colleagues to get you the best results.

 

 

Doesn't it cost more to pay for an agent's time and experience?

 

No, agents do not add extra fees. Travel costs already include commission, so even those 'direct' online bookings have them built in - you're just not getting the agent expertise and time-saving planning service. Access to preferred partnerships often mean that an agents quote will be better value than booking yourself.

 

 

Is my money safe with an independent travel agent?

 

Yes - bookings are fully ABTA and ATOL protected through the travel organisers I work with. Standard terms and conditions apply and will be shared with you. It is always advisable to take out your own travel insurance at the time of booking to safeguard against the unexpected.

 

 

What can you help me book?

 

Of course I can help with planning and booking holidays, but I can also pass on agent savings on the holiday extras to complete your trip. If you need airport parking, lounges, fast track or transfers without all the hassle, then let me help!

 

Also, and often forgotten, agents can help booking excursions, attractions (U.K. or abroad)  and theatre tickets too. It may not occur to many to contact an agent when planning a day trip or weekend getaway. Why not get in touch and find out... especially if a saving allows more opportunities to extend the fun!

When are you available?

 

If I am working with you, I am fully invested and ensure you know how to reach me. I don't keep rigid office hours - I scale up and down depending on demand, seasonality and life in general.

 

 

I have clear ideas about what I want already - is there any point using an agent?

 

That is absolutely fine! I have always loved planning trips and understand that sometimes, you want to do the thinking and research yourself. Or you may be considering somewhere in particular based on a recommendation. I can simply check in a few places where agents have exclusive access and quote for whatever you have in mind if that works best for you. Or perhaps myself or my network can throw in some perks, further considerations or ideas to take your plans further...
